Wildflower on Oregon Coast

I sometimes use photography as a means of inspiration for my writing. Since there are a various handful of continents as well as planets in my book, geography, landscapes, and features of nature are important to my world development. I found this flower while on a road trip up Highway 101. Although I haven't been able to determine it's name, I find it uniquely alluring with an almost alien beauty.
